When can I check in ?
Please check your tenancy for your start date. Your customer service team will be available to welcome you to your new home between 10 am and 3 pm on the Saturday that your tenancy starts.
What do I need to bring with me ?
You will need to bring bedding, cutlery, plates, pots and pans and other home comforts.
What comes in your room ?
We provide the bed, mattress, study desk, and wardrobe in all room types, some room types may come with additional fixtures.
What about security?
Manchester
We have 24 hour security cover provided by the Manchester Student Village security team, they can be contacted on 0161 200 5540.
Liverpool
We have 24 hour security cover provided by the Cathedrals security team, they can be contacted on 0151 702 7260.
Is the internet included?
The internet is included in your weekly rent; we provide a 4 Mb service through our partner cablecom. Your internet is set up when you check into your room.
Can I have friends stay over ?
Yes as long as your flat mates are ok with this.
How long can friends stay over ?
For a maximum of two nights in any given 7 day period– anything longer is classed as subletting.
How many friends can stay over ?
The tenancy permits one occasional overnight guest.
Can I have receive post at my accommodation ?
Yes you will be given a post box key for your flats post box on check in, parcels are accepted by customer service team. If you are expecting a package you will be required to be on site to sign for such packages.
Can I live there for more than one year ?
Yes , our rebooking promotion normally starts in December and rooms sell fast , keep an eye out for rebooking posters around your property.
Can I rebook with my friends?
Yes if you want to stay with us for the next academic year with friends you have made, you will need to rebook early in order to secure a flat with your friends.
Who do I speak to if I have a problem?
Your customer service team are available to you at reception Monday to Friday 9 am to 6 pm.
Who is my customer service team?
Each property has a dedicated property manager who is responsible for the property that you are moving into. They are supported by our team on lettings officers who are on hand at reception on a daily basis. Each property has a maintenance and housekeeping team that are responsible for the up keep of the property.
What happens if I have not received my student loan?
Like most accommodation providers we require the first instalment paying in full before you check in. We are unable to allow you to check in until this first instalment has been made. To discuss this further please contact your customer service team at the property you are due to check into.
What happens with maintenance faults?
You can report your maintenance issues online by emailing maintenance@mcrstudents.com
Where are the local shops?
There is a Tesco’s or Sainsbury’s within a short walking distance of all of our properties.
Do I need a tv licence?
By law you are required to have a tv licence, please consult www.tvlicensing.co.uk
Do I need a digital box?
Yes a digital box or digital tv is required.
