Contents Insurance
Contents insurance is provided for all students. Further details are available on request. It is the student’s responsibility to take out additional cover for any high value items or equipment before you arrive. The total sum insured is £3000. Each student will receive details about how to activate the cover before they move in.

Telephone - further details to be confirmed for September 08
Telephones are provided in all bedrooms. From September 07, making and receiving incoming calls (calls made within Manchester Student Village) will be free of charge. To receive and make external calls a connection fee applies. Credit for external calls is added using a debit or credit card. Full details will be supplied in all bedrooms.
Internet Access - further details to be confirmed for Sept 08
Unlimited high speed internet access is included in the cost of the rent. There are CURRENTLY two options available, the basic internet connection costs £150 and the gold connection, with a speed of upto to 2MB is £275.
Laundry - further details to be confirmed for September 08
It CURRENTLY costs £2.00 to wash and £1.00 to dry and facilities are available 24 hours a day, prices valid from September 07.
Car Parking
A public car park is available but there are additional costs. The current prices are as follows:
- 3 hours - £2.50
- 12 hours - £4.50
- 24 hours - £5.50
- 4 week permit - £100
